GENERAL PEDIATRIC CARE

Dr. Carrie Fitzsimons has been working in Nelson and area supporting children and families since 1996.

 

She obtained her medical degree from McMaster University in Ontario and completed her Pediatrics residency training at McGill University in Montreal along with some sub-specialty training at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She is also enjoys participating as a clinical assistant professor at UBC.

She has specialty training in autism and developmental disabilities and works locally with Interior Health Children’s Assessment Network (IHCAN). She loves going for her outreach clinics in the beautiful communities of New Denver and Nakusp which she has been doing since 1996.
Dr. Carrie loves seeing children of all ages and stages.  She loves the variety that children bring to her work life.  
 

She has raised two beautiful, now young adult, children. In her spare time, her passion is sailing.  She also gets out on the downhill runs and the cross-country ski tracks.
